W\u00e4hrend des CBYX Jahres haben 5 Teilnehmer des Programms die Chance in einem 6-w\u00f6chigen Praktikum im US-Congress mehr Einblick in das amerikanische System zu kriegen. In Washington D.C. von Januar bis Mitte Februar.<\/p>\n
Und ich darf stolz sagen, dass ich dieses Jahr mit von der Partie bin. Ich bin jetzt schon aufgeregt wie sonst was! Wie es dazu gekommen ist? Mit einem Motivationsschreiben und dem Lebenslauf, beides in Englisch, bewirbt man sich bei Cultural Vistas (unserer Organisation auf amerikanischer Seite). Sie picken dann die Leute f\u00fcr die n\u00e4chste Runde heraus. Aus 10 Bewerbern, die per Telefon interviewt werden, in unserem Fall von Max und Amanda, werden dann die letzten 5 ausgew\u00e4hlt. Wo wir letzten Endes im Congress eingesetzt werden, sprich im B\u00fcro eines Abgeordneten, werden wir in den n\u00e4chsten Tagen erfahren.

During the year of CBYX five of us participants get the unique chance to intern in one of the Representatives offices in the U.S. Congress in Washington D.C. for six weeks. It is supposed to get an insight in the political system of the US.<\/p>\n
I am proud to say: I\u2019m in! Starting in mid-February I\u2019m already excited!<\/p>\n
How did this work? With a letter of intent and a resume, both in English, we applied at our organization Cultural Vistas. They pick 10 applicants for the interview round, which is via telephone. In our case Max and Amanda picked the finalists. Where we\u2019re working in the end is not firm, yet.
