We went to the fancy Heritage Hills Resort<\/strong><\/span> and spent time in the Restaurant downstairs with 90% Brazilians<\/span>. After dinner, we had smooth Brigadeiro<\/span><\/strong><\/em> desserts & cake and fooled around a bit.<\/p>\n

\"20160521_153022\"\"20160521_145139\"<\/a>Matthew and I went to the Shewsbury Farmer’s Market recently and discovered some nice Amish shops and places! (Not hard if you stop at every single item). And of course, we bought Pretzels<\/strong><\/em><\/span>. Soft and hard ones. And bread. And orange juice<\/span>. And (…) But not the c<\/span>o<\/span>lo<\/span><\/span>rf<\/span>ul<\/span> sprinkles, no. Amish sounds really funny<\/span> to me, knowing English and German. It sounds like taking a German word, mix with 20% of English and pronounce it with a half Colonian,<\/em><\/span> half Dutch accent and verniedliche everything in the end:<\/p>\n

Guder Daag – Guten Tag – Hello<\/span><\/p>\n

Guti Nacht – Gute Nacht – Good night<\/span><\/p>\n

Sehn dich schpeeder – Bis spaeter – See you later<\/span><\/p>\n

Ich bin arrig schlecht – Mir geht es sehr (arg) schlecht – I am doing bad<\/span><\/p>\n

Sis kiehl – Es ist kalt (kuehl) – It’s cold<\/span><\/p>\n

Die Sarah iss die Glapperbax<\/em> am schpiele – (Die) Sarah spielt Klavier – Sarah plays piano<\/span><\/p>\n
