Long story short – Andrea and Sean are going on a long vacation<\/span> in May and told my exchange orga<\/strong> <\/span>that they wanted me to move out<\/em> <\/span>rather\u00a0than stay in their house on my own<\/em>. Coming back wuerde sich nicht lohnen<\/em> (for 1 month), von daher – good luck<\/em> <\/strong><\/span>finding a new host family for the rest of your stay<\/em><\/span>! Thanks for telling me, Cultural Vistas and HACC!<\/p>\n

\"20160402_065020\"<\/a>After the first shock, I setzte alle Hebel in Bewegung<\/strong><\/em><\/span>, asked every single person<\/strong> in York I know for help, talked to CV, my College Coordinator at HACC, my employer, workplace, LCBC…. I was busy and stressed out!<\/span> But everyone was very helpful<\/strong><\/span> and spread the word for me, especially my friends, co-workers and LCBC!<\/em> After just about one week, LCBC had 2<\/strong> families that wanted to meet\/host me! One in Spring Grove and one in York. After I spoke with the first one, it seemed to be a great fit\u00a0but\u00a0I wanted to give the other family a try. I met them at the LCBC<\/strong> <\/span>Cafe where I volunteer on Easter Sunday<\/span>\u00a0where they invited me for dinner for the next day – how nice<\/em><\/span><\/strong>! They showed me their beautiful.\u00a0huge house,<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>we had\u00a0delicious (healthy!) relaxed dinner together and spoke about the key things – I couldn’t believe it!<\/p>\n
