D.C. No. III

Hey, DC, I’m back!

Matt, Pauline and I went to the International Student DC trip from HACC on Saturday and it was great!

Sunburny sunny 70 degrees all day long, beautiful walks, Cherry Blossom Trees (I guess) and a big variety of different people!

We watched an IMAX movie (3D) in the Air & Space Museum, admired planes hanging from the ceiling and pretended to know what we were looking at. Further, we went to the Tidal Basin, took selfies at the Washington Monument and looked for food for at least 2h of starvation. We found a row of foodtrucks – closed! What the.. ? After studying 3 maps and seeing different people walking by with food, we finally found some with Turkish/Greek/Arabic/Gyro/Falafel food -> good!

The bus ride was pretty entertaining as well! We listened to a British girl with an American slang talking to her friends about Winnie Poo boyfriends and bloody things (which became true), a long-haired suit & sunglasses wearing Mafia looking guy explaining that some people don’t know how to run away – but he he just takes his two feet and runs away! And a final “Oh, you’re from Germany?!” conversation with the girls once the bus stopped in York to drop us off & everybody waited for us to get off. It was fun!
